TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms apply to all Festive Lunch, Festive Evening, Christmas Party, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day dining reservations.
Booking & Deposit
• A £10 per person deposit is required to secure all festive dining reservations.
• Provisional reservations will be held for up to 7 days pending receipt of the deposit.
• If the deposit is not received within this period, the reservation may be released.
• Deposits are deducted from the final food balance.
• Deposits are non-refundable if a guest cancels, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Final Numbers, Menu Choices & Payment
• For parties of 1–7 guests, final numbers, menu choices and full payment of the food balance are required 7 days before the booking.
• For parties of 8 guests or more, these are required 14 days before the booking.
• Once final numbers have been confirmed and paid for, reductions in numbers or cancellations will normally be non-refundable as food, staffing and restaurant capacity will have been committed.
• Additional guests may be added subject to availability.
• Drinks and additional items ordered during your visit can be paid for on the day.
Cancellations & No-Shows
• If a booking is cancelled before the final payment deadline, deposits already paid will normally be retained.
• Following the final payment deadline, food that has been ordered and paid for will normally be non-refundable.
• No-shows will be charged in full for their pre-ordered food.
• If exceptional circumstances arise, please speak to the Manager as soon as possible.
• Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
Arrival & Table Times
• Please arrive promptly for your confirmed reservation.
• Some festive services operate designated sittings or table times to enable us to accommodate as many guests as possible.
• Where your table is required back at a particular time, this will be clearly explained when your booking is confirmed.
• Late arrival may therefore reduce the amount of time available at your table.
Dietary Requirements & Allergies
• Please provide details of any allergies or dietary requirements when submitting your menu choices.
• Guests with serious allergies should discuss their requirements directly with the Manager before their visit.
• Please also remind your server of any allergies when you arrive.
Pre-Ordered Drinks & Optional Extras
• Selected wines, Prosecco, Champagne, cheeseboards, Port and other festive enhancements may be available to pre-order.
• Any items added to the booking in advance may be included within the final advance payment where appropriate.
Accommodation
• Bedrooms are subject to availability and are booked separately unless specifically included within a package.
• Separate accommodation booking and cancellation terms may apply.
Menu Changes
• Occasionally, ingredients or dishes may need to change due to supplier availability or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where this happens, we will endeavour to provide a suitable alternative of equivalent quality.
Acceptance of Booking Terms
• Payment of the deposit confirms the reservation and acceptance of these festive booking terms by the lead guest on behalf of their party.
The Old King’s Head reserves the right to amend arrangements where reasonably necessary for the safe and effective operation of the venue.
